Nolina nelsonii - Blue Beargrass Tree
One of the largest in the genus, this species from northeastern Mexico grows as a small, slender tree with multiple rosette crowns of straplike leaves to 4 cm wide. It is best adapted to dry subtropical/warm temperate climates and can handle moderate frosts and drought conditions. It is known to withstand approximately -11/-12 degrees Celcius.
