Acer palmatum Bloodgood - Japanese maple tree
This red "Bloodgood" is one of the best dark red varieties of all. Its strong red leaves are slightly serrated and in the summer transform into a brown-red colour, only to turn bright red again in the autumn.
The maple is very resistant to sun and drought. It is very suitable as an ornamental shrub in Japanese gardens and rock gardens. It reaches a height of up to 4 m (12 feet)
